Keywords
Cards, Enemies, Relics and several other gameplay elements within SML's combat system may make use of specific effects that are homogenous. These are simplified into easily recognizable keywords as follows.

Keywords | Meaning |

Vanguard | Triggers when in frontline |
Sentry | Triggers when in backline |
Start of Turn | Triggers at start of turn |
End of Turn | Triggers at end of turn |
Unsealed | Triggers when played |
Cast | Triggers when a mystic card is played |
Last Dance | Triggers when destroyed |
Status Effect
Keywords | Meaning |
---|---|
Burn (X) | When inflicted, takes damage equal to X |
Frail (X) | Takes 25% more damage |
Petrify (X) | Next attack deals X less damage |
Poison (X) | Takes damage equal to X at end of turn |
Freeze (X) | Attack damage is reduced by 25% |
Stun (X) | Cannot perform action this turn |
Barrier (X) | Prevent the next instance of damage |
