The Roguelike Experience

At the core of Summoner Master Legacy's gameplay is the roguelike experience. This genre is defined by 3 main traits which are incorporated into the gameplay.

Dungeon Crawl Structure

In each instance of play called a "Run", players start an adventure on a map with an objective to fight through enemies, gain powerful abilities and defeat the final boss.

Procedurally Generated Levels

The layout of the map, enemies and rewards are procedurally generated for each Run based on an initial seed. This ensures that every Run feels unique and forces players to be creative and adaptable.

Permanent Death

Essential to roguelike design is the permadeath mechanic which forfeits the player's current run upon defeat. This forces players to continually adapt to new situations as a unique challenge is presented in each run, making the gameplay loop much more interesting and replayable.

The Deckbuilding Aspect

Deckbuilding is a well-loved aspect of any Trading Card Game fan. As a Roguelike game, Summoner Master Legacy takes the deckbuilding aspect a step further by allowing players to build their deck both before and during gameplay.

Loadout Customization

Using collectible NFT assets, players can customize and use their setup called a loadout to be used as a starting point for each run they enter. This provides a solid foundation for the player's strategy and ensures that players will get to use their prized collection in every game.
