Core Game Loop

The overarching loop the player engages in can be broken down into 3 main parts.

Run-based Gameplay

In Summoner Master Legacy, the game begins when a player enters an adventure to start a "Run". When this happens, the game procedurally generates new levels with a unique structure and layout for the player to engage in. The player's customized loadout will be used as a starting point for the In-Run loadout.

As the player engages in combats and encounters, the player will be rewarded with in-run progression, consisting of cards to add to the deck along with other powerful upgrades. This will enhance the in-run loadout to be used in further combats and encounters until the run reaches its conclusion.

Upon victory or defeat, the player's scores will be calculated based on the player's performance during the run. This score directly affects the gameplay rewards which include the player's levels and NFT assets. This then loops back to the loadout creation process where the players now possess more options to create their own preferred loadout.

Collecting & Leveling

At the end of each run, players are given a score based on their performance during the run. This score will be used to calculate the rewards given to each player.

For Story mode, the rewards are restricted to only experience points and there will be no associated leaderboard placement. For Challenge mode, players will receive still receive experience points but will also receive resource rewards based on the player's placement on the leaderboard. Experience points in combination with other resources will allow for Banner upgrades. Other uses for resource rewards will be explained in later sections.

Loadout Customization

Players can customize their loadout before starting a Run. Once customized and selected, the loadout will be used as the starting point of a player's Run. More details are available in later sections.
